My Ideology

“The story behind the work matters just as much as the result.”

Adversity is part of the process — not the end of the story. As a first-gen college graduate, I’ve learned to embrace challenges as opportunities to grow, not reasons to stop. I believe in the power of perspective — that every person, project, and problem has layers worth exploring. The story behind the work matters just as much as the outcome. To me, progress isn’t always visible. Like the credits after a film, the most meaningful growth often happens off-screen — in the effort, the setbacks, and the people we uplift along the way. That’s where real impact begins.

My Story

I grew up hearing the stories my parents never got to finish. As immigrants from Mexico, they carried dreams that were never fully realized — not because they lacked talent, but because opportunity never knocked. That reality shaped me early. Education wasn’t just a path forward — it became the way I could honor their sacrifice. As a first-generation college student, every milestone felt bigger than me. I wasn’t just learning for myself; I was rewriting the narrative for my entire family.College wasn’t a straight line. I transferred schools, worked long hours, and figured things out on my own. But in that process, I discovered leadership through Delta Sigma Pi, purpose through community, and a passion for solving real problems — especially through data, systems, and human connection.Today, I’m at Northwestern Mutual, helping improve data governance so smarter decisions can be made. But more importantly, I’m continuing the story my parents started — and helping shape the future for others like us.

My Work

IT Ticket Dashboard – Hydrite

At Hydrite, I designed and built a comprehensive Power BI dashboard to streamline IT ticket monitoring across multiple locations. I independently extracted raw data from a third-party helpdesk system, cleaned and transformed it using Power Query, and created an interactive report that visualized ticket volume by origin, category, location, and time. This dashboard provided leadership with actionable insights to identify recurring issues, optimize workload distribution, and track resolution performance. The improved visibility enabled better resource planning and ultimately elevated IT support responsiveness.Tools: Power BI, Excel, Data Cleaning, Helpdesk Integration, Visualization Design

  • Empowered upper management to make data-informed strategic decisions

  • Enabled more accurate planning through trend analysis by month

  • Improved workload distribution by site and assignee

President of Xi-Chi DSP

As President of Xi-Chi, I led 15 officers and 50+ members, creating a leadership framework grounded in accountability and purpose. I implemented SMART goal structures for each officer, streamlined operations, and drove the chapter to win three national awards: Outstanding Alumni Relations, Outstanding Service, and the R. Nelson Outstanding Collegiate Chapter Award.

I served as a bridge between our chapter and Delta Sigma Pi’s national leadership, acting as a key liaison to communicate expectations, share progress, and ensure alignment with national fraternity standards. I also initiated and executed a reporting line restructure within our officer team to eliminate communication bottlenecks and improve cross-functional efficiency.

One of my proudest accomplishments was bringing my long-term vision of creating a chapter website to life — a platform that now connects brothers, sponsors, and the community with our chapter’s story and values.Tools: Leadership, Organizational Strategy, Communication, Vision Execution, Chapter-National Relations, Structural Optimization

FUSE Bootcamp Internship – AI & Creative Arts Solution

As part of the highly selective FUSE summer program, I completed a 7-week experience designed to build technical, professional, and collaborative skills through real-world challenges. I selected a technical learning track in artificial intelligence and was randomly assigned to a cross-functional team. Together, we were tasked with developing an AI-oriented solution within an assigned industry — ours was the Creative Arts.

Our team created ECHOCanvas, a dual-experience platform designed to deepen audience interaction with visual art and elevate emerging creators. The platform included:• A3 (AI Art Appreciation): An AI-powered tool that asks viewers questions — "What?", "Where?", "How?", and "Why?" — helping them interpret and reflect on the artwork.• Gallery: A virtual showcase for rising artists, designed to collect feedback and, in future versions, use sentiment analysis to help artists understand how their work is perceived.

We pitched the idea of partnering with museums and galleries to enhance their visitor experience. Out of 15 teams, ours was one of three selected to present at Demo Day, where we received an award for innovation and presentation.
